The grid frame of the plate is made of lead-antimony alloy of the traditional battery. Maintenance-free batteries are made of lead-calcium alloys, antimony in the former and calcium in the latter, and this is the fundamental difference between the two. Different materials will produce different phenomena: the traditional battery in the process of use will occur liquid reduction phenomenon, this is because the antimony on the grid will pollute the spongiform pure lead on the negative plate, weaken the back electromotive force in the battery after full charge, resulting in excessive decomposition of water, a large number of oxygen and hydrogen respectively from the positive and negative plate escape, so that the electrolyte is reduced. With calcium instead of antimony, you can change the back electromotive force of the fully charged motorcycle battery, reduce the overcharge flow, liquid gasification speed is reduced, thus reducing the loss of electrolyte.

As the maintenance-free battery adopts lead-calcium alloy grid frame, the water decomposition generated during charging is less, the evaporation of water is low, and the shell is sealed structure, the release of sulfuric acid gas is also less.
